Batten made from coniferous wood, contains phytoncides which are characterized with antimicrobial and disinfectant properties. Batten made of linden wood, used for interior decoration of saunas. Batten made from alder wood is used for arranging steam rooms in baths, as it tolerates temperatures well up to +120 C and humidity up to 100%. It is also used for finishing non-heated rooms (attic, terrace, balcony, etc.), since it does not react to sharp temperature fluctuations and does not rot easily.
