- Professional decision validated by acoustic and fire tests
- Airborne sound insulation index – 51 dB – for 100 mm thick partition walls with double layer of plaster construction slab (12,5 mm thick) on each side
- Steel carcass-based plaster construction slab partition walls filled with ISOVER Sound Insulation has Fire danger class “KO”
- 75 mm thick partition wall is as good a sound insulator as a massive brick wall which “eats up” 10 times as much space. Such partition wall is made of a steel carcass with ISOVER Sound Insulation material tightly filled in between the bars of the carcass.
- 610 mm wide slabs are tightly placed into the structure with no fasteners
- The next layer is a plaster construction slab, then comes a finishing layer
- The partition wall structure must have good contact with floor and walls in order to ensure high quality insulation
- It is recommended to stick vibration insulation tape to the profiles adjacent to the cladding structure
- Joints of plaster construction slabs must be performed only on the carcass props – this contributes to rigidity of the structure
- Don’t allow open joints, through-holes and cracks in between the plaster construction slabs. They significantly undermine sound insulation properties of partition walls. Acrylic or silicon sealants are most efficient ways in terms of sound insulation to remedy such defects
